Top role here to join a high-growth, privately owned FinTech that delivers a market-leading Client Lifecycle Management / CRM software to private banks and wealth managers globally. The organisation employs 180 people and is based in Liverpool Street.
Historically deployed on-prem, the product is now evolving into a fully cloud-native, multi-tenant SaaS platform in Azure. With a new CTO and Head of Engineering in place, this is the next pivotal hire to manage the architecture for their growing SaaS offering.
This is a hands-on architecture role for someone who has come up through C#.NET engineering and understands how real systems behave in production. This is an influential position reporting directly to the CTO in a company with a flat management structure.
This role will suit someone who wants architectural influence in a scaling product company — without stepping fully away from engineering reality.
Non-Negotiables
- 5 years designing Azure cloud architecture for multi-tenant SaaS platforms
- Previous hands-on background as a C#.NET developer or software engineer
- Strong Azure production experience (not theoretical exposure)
- Experience acting as a primary or contributing architect for cloud security controls (SOC2 and/or ISO 27001)
- Hands-on experience with containerised workloads and orchestration
- Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform preferred)
- Experience designing secure customer integrations and hybrid connectivity
- Proven experience producing formal architecture documentation
You will:
- Design scalable, secure multi-tenant SaaS architecture in Azure
- Define cloud architecture principles across application, infrastructure and security
- Own SOC2 and ISO 27001-aligned architectural controls at platform level
- Architect secure customer integrations (APIs, hybrid connectivity, enterprise networks)
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure designs are delivered properly
- Produce detailed architectural documentation to enterprise standard
- Take ownership of complex customer and platform-level technical challenges
You must be comfortable operating at architecture level while still understanding the engineering detail underneath.
