Site Reliability Engineer | Azure Environment | Shoreditch FinTech
Our client, a leader in the FinTech space, is currently looking for a mid-level SRE to join their growing team. After 10 years of establishing their UK business, they also now have their sights set on growing the business in the USA too. You will be joining an IT team of around 100 and a company of 500 employees.
With a flexible working arrangement requiring 1 day a week in the office initially, later moving to once a month. The offices are based in lively Shoreditch, with regular team social events happening in the area.
Your core function will be as an SRE, supporting the infrastructure hosting our client's product. We are looking for someone with formal working experience as an SRE and a DevOps mindset.
Essential experience required:
- Azure - this is key as the whole SRE ecosystem is Azure-based.
- Scripting - any is ok; PowerShell, Python, Bash etc.
- Infrastructure as Code - Terraform is preferred.
- CI/CD - Octopus, Azure DevOps and TeamCity preferred.
Other things you will get exposure to:
- Kubernetes/AKS - experience in deploying applications to K8s clusters would be great but not essential.
- GCP, some new environments are being built here.
There are a few exciting projects planned, including migrating from IaaS infrastructure environments to serverless & PaaS environments, automation and monitoring design and implementation.
