We're working with a private equity-backed wealth management group who need a Business Analyst to join their team, and how you work with people matters here as much as your BA experience. You'll take projects from a loose idea to something their tech team can deliver, in a business of around 200 people that plans to double in the next two years.
Since the investment they've been running much more like a start-up than an established firm. There's no BA team to sit behind, so you'll be the one building relationships across the business, from the people answering the phones to the CEO and the chair of the board.
The Projects
Around 20 projects are underway from a list of 100 . Here's some of the current projects you may be working on:
- A custom adviser platform, roughly a year-long build
- Agentic workflows to automate internal processes
- AI tools for client meetings and pulling information from documents
- Dashboards for teams across the business
- Fixing handover points where work passes between people
Non-Negotiables
- 1-3 years business analysis experience
- Senior stakeholders: articulate and confident up to board level
- Relationship building across the whole business
- Problem solving: curious, creative, quick on your feet
- Microsoft estate across the business
- Dynamics CRM: the backbone most workflows run on
- Microsoft Fabric data warehouse
- TypeScript and React
- Agentic AI workflows
- Power Automate and Planner
- A delivery team of around 12 technical staff
Nice to Haves
- Wealth management or financial advice experience
- AI or automation projects experience
- Graduate scheme background
- Portfolio prioritisation and board-level reporting
The role exists because the business is building change capacity as it scales. You'll help turn a long project list into a portfolio of 20 to 30 live projects, ranked by value, KPI impact and where they sit in the business, so the board has what it needs to decide what goes first.
- You'll work on agent workflows, AI for client meetings that pulls information from documents, dashboards for teams across the business, and a custom adviser environment led by the CTO.
- They own their data in-house rather than relying on third-party platforms, which makes the AI work far more useful.
- You'll shape how the role runs. Your manager plays to people's strengths rather than running a hierarchy, and the role grows into process improvement on the CRM workflows over time.
- People progress here: the COO and the head of IT both joined on the graduate programme.
This isn't a hands-on technical role, so there's no coding or SQL reporting, but you'll need to speak the IT team's language. It suits someone who is comfortable where plenty is still being worked out.
