Our client is looking for a Power BI Developer to join a top-tier, well-established FinTech firm specialising in SaaS products that deliver real-time market data and pricing, comparable with industry giants like Bloomberg and Reuters. It has more than 600 employees spread across global locations in the UK, US, China, India, Singapore, Brazil, Belgium, Finland and beyond.
You’ll be joining a newly formed Carbon Team as an Expert Power BI Developer to design, develop, and optimise advanced reports and dashboards that enable decision-making. Working closely with data engineers, analysts, and UX/UI designers, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring their analytics platform is user-friendly and meets the needs of their global audience.
Key skills:
- Advanced experience in Power BI Development, designing and deploying complex solutions.
- Expertise in data modelling, DAX, and Power Query to create sophisticated custom visuals
- Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with databases like SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, and Snowflake.
- Experience embedding Power BI dashboards into applications.
- Understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
- Proven track record in performance tuning and optimization of Power BI reports.
Other bits you’ll do:
- Design and develop advanced Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations that drive insights.
- Implement efficient data models and DAX queries to optimise performance.
- Leverage Power BI’s advanced features, including calculated columns and measures, to create sophisticated analytics.
- Integrate multiple data sources, including Snowflake and APIs, ensuring seamless data flow.
- Optimise performance and scalability to handle large datasets efficiently.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security across the Power BI environment
