Software Engineer in Test | Python & VueJS Applications | CleanTech Energy Trading
We are working with an exciting and forward-thinking scale-up who have created a state-of-the-art optimisation and trading platform helping drive the transition to renewable energies. Our client is a company of 45 people in total with a 10-person tech team. They have ambitious growth plans and are looking for an intelligent and motivated person to join and help with their mission to positively impact the planet.
They are currently looking for a Software Engineer in Test to join the members of our team in Oxford, UK. They require someone that has strong experience in testing Python and VueJS applications, as this role would also be responsible to set up/build a testing framework from scratch.
Responsibilities include:
- Defining and implementing processes and testing
- Improving Python & VueJS applications
- Defining CI/CD to allow tech teams to code and deploy in confidence
- Applying best coding practices
Requirements:
- 3 years experience in Object Orientated Coding
- Frontend application testing
- Testing containers built with Docker and deployed to cloud environments (ideally AWS) with Terraform
- Experience in applications communicating with databases with Python (ideally SQLAlchemy ORM)
- Degreed in computer science, engineering or related technical field
Great to have:
- Testing integrated CI/CD pipeline in multiple environments
- Real-time (streaming) data management, transformation and orchestration tools and approaches
- APIs (REST / GraphQL)
- You have experience with asynchronous messaging queues (ideally RabbitMQ/SQS)
