Service Desk Engineer / IT Engineer | Great communication, Windows and Active Directory | Cool Media Company
My client is a world-leading independent production and distribution group that produces some of the most popular TV programmes in the world.
They are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer who will support circa 30 internal companies with approximately 1,500 users 100s of freelancers. You will operate in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. You will be working for a fun organisation, diversity-focused and dress-down culture based in the Holborn / Southwark area.
As an IT Engineer, you will work in a team of 3 reporting directly to the service delivery manager. You will provide world-class tech support to a range of personnel at the organisation and its subsidiary clients across multiple locations by phone, email and in person.
The role operates on a hybrid model with non-negotiable in-office requirements, you would be expected to be on-site 3 days a week and work 2 from home.
What you will do:
- You will act as an escalation point for support IT technicians, and work on tickets that they can resolve.
- You will work with IT Technicians helping them to understand the problem, teaching them, to solve problems and constantly fostering an attitude of growth and collaboration.
- You will act as a strong lead on small projects with clients experiencing problems.
- You will look after purchasing equipment/ asset management
- You will deal with important people in the business, relationship building is a big part of the role and your personability will be a key factor in your success.
- You will set up and maintain meeting room systems and infrastructure.
- You will administer identity platforms such as Active Directory and Okta, to set up new user and user accounts.
What you will bring:
- Stellar communication skills, and proven experience in people-facing environments.
- Experience working in a tech support role.
- Strong troubleshooting skills around hardware, software and networking,
- Proficient in Windows 10/11 and some exposure to Mac OS would be a bonus.
- Good understanding of how email security works.
- Working knowledge of Windows server.
- Detailed understanding of Active Directory/Okta
- Networking skills – Pings, DHCP, WAN & Wireless and VOIP principles
- Comfortable administering all aspects of Microsoft 365.
