They are looking for a Senior SRE to work in their newly established team, partnering with the Software Engineering team to help build and operate the next generation of infrastructure and products. The right person for the job will shine in a truly DevOps culture - working collaboratively across the full breadth of Agile product delivery teams - globally!
GCP will be used extensively in this role. Whilst it's absolutely fine to come from an AWS background, you must be happy and willing to work in what is a predominant GCP environment. This is also a fantastic opportunity to work within a global environment as well as working on a complex Kubernetes stack.
Whilst our client's offices are in London, they are offering remote-working options. The official line from HR is to be in the office weekly but the reality from the DevOps Manager is once a month for team meetings.
Essential skills. These are non-negotiable requirements:
- AWS or GCP - Our client's platform is GCP but coming from AWS is fine
- Kubernetes - any is fine, GKE, EKS, AKS etc - Solid commercial experience is needed
Our client's tech stack:
- Terraform for IaC
- Linux Administration and Networking
- Containerisation (Docker OR Kubernetes)
- Configuration Management (Puppet or Ansible)
- Setting up CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or Gitlab)
Desirable skills, but not essential
- Programming experience (Python, Ruby, or Go)
- Big data technologies (Hadoop etc.)
- Data streaming (Kafka etc.)
