Senior DevOps Engineer | AWS | CleanTech Energy Trading
This is a hybrid remote role, with the Lead DevOps Engineer being required to go into the client's Oxford office a maximum of once a week. Parking is provided or the office is a 10-minute walk from the train station.
We are working with an exciting and forward-thinking scale-up who have created a state-of-the-art optimisation and trading platform helping drive the transition to renewable energies. They are looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to join the team and take ownership of DevOps duties, helping drive technical innovation throughout the organisation. You will also be acting as a mentor/lead to the current mid-level engineer.
This will include evolving and supporting the software development lifecycle, managing and growing a team, overseeing the cloud-based infrastructure, integrating with third-party data sources, and ensuring that quality, scalability and security are fully embedded into technical operational activities, including 24/7 monitoring, reliability and support.
Our client is a company of 45 people in total with a 10-person tech team and 2 in DevOps including yourself. They have ambitious growth plans and are looking for an intelligent and motivated person to join and help with their mission to positively impact the planet.
They are implementing Kubernetes and you will have the opportunity to learn and gain exposure to it which is a real win! Also, there is a monitoring Grafana / Prometheus project to get your mitts on.
Requirements:
- AWS Cloud
- Terraform
- Docker
- VPN experience – Open VPN or AWS
