Lead QA Engineer | Automation Implementation | SaaS FinTech
This is a fantastic opportunity for you to join a rapidly growing FinTech that is serious about utilising the best technology on the market and implementing it through Architecture, Design and Approach. You will work closely alongside 30 Developers and QA Engineers that make up the tech team.
We are looking for a specialist "sniper talent" who can focus on QA processes and executions on hand and at the same time lead the team towards implementing a strong automation agenda. Our client needs you to come in and take ownership of automating their testing processes, and procedures and then lead your team to follow the automation process you have designed. The automation tool that's used currently is RubyMine. However, the CTO will let you decide if you think this is the right tool. For example, if you think that Cypress, Selenium etc. will be better you can change it. You will have autonomy here to go your chosen way to automate everything. Such a great opportunity!

In this role, you will be responsible for testing plugins capable of pulling data from multiple diverse systems into the client's cloud-native SaaS solution designed to be the single window giving complete visibility into all their tools, involving following CI/CD principles, and testing new versions every day. You will keep customers in mind during every stage of the development lifecycle. Your role will be central to maintaining high product quality as part of the ongoing testing efforts through both automation and manual testing. 60% will be hands-on manual and automation testing and 40% will be managing the team of 4 Testers, onshore and offshore.
Since the company is scaling rapidly, there is much to be done, and you will not have a shortage of exciting projects to get stuck into once you join! You will also be involved in the outcome of products released by his company.
Our client has a new office in Bristol, and it's expected that you will travel to the Bristol HQ once a week.
Key Skills:
- 5-7 years in web application testing
- Automation - our client uses Cypress and RubyMind, but any other automation tool exposure will be okay.
- QA test managed systems, Processes, tools and bug analysis and trends
- Experience working with Rest APIs would be very useful.
