Rate: £450 - £550 a day depending on experience

Our client is a HealthTech that works with the NHS, whose mission is to help patients get better faster. They use innovative technology to support patient care, which leads to shorter waiting times, increased consultant capacity and reduced costs. They employ over 100 people in the UK, and they‘re looking for a Senior.NET engineer to improve the processes, procedures and strategy of the SDLC they currently have in place.
Whilst the business is headquartered in London, this is a fully remote role allowing you to work from anywhere in the UK.
What you will do:
- This is primarily a hands-off role, but you will be expected to code too (60% hands-off, 40% hands-on.)
- Dive deep into existing codebases to identify potential issues and areas for improvement.
- Help establish, document, and enforce coding standards and best practices across the development team.
- Lead GIT strategy initiatives, facilitate peer reviews and guide the team on version control best practices.
- Review current ways of working and suggest improvements to enhance team efficiency and code quality.
- Work on refining our Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Release Train Lifecycle (RTL) processes.
- Drive the adoption of new technologies and testing tools within the SDLC to boost productivity and ensure robust delivery pipelines.
- Partner with various stakeholders to align on improvements that will positively impact the quality and stability of code releases.
What you will bring:
- Strong background in software engineering with proven expertise in reviewing and improving codebases.
- Experience refining SDLC and RTL processes and can suggest and implement effective strategies for continuous improvement.
- Skilled at creating and enforcing coding standards and practices while mentoring and guiding team members.
- You’ve worked with GIT at scale and can lead the team on best practices and strategy.
- Experience with the adoption of new technologies and test tooling to drive continuous improvement.
- Strong ability to work with different stakeholders to ensure alignment on improving development and release quality.
