Our client, a 30-year-old geography information system (GIS) and web mapping software development company, is looking to hire a GIS Technical Services Engineer. You need to bring your background in GIS or a related discipline from a degree or work experience and have a keen interest in GIS, spatial data, and web mapping technologies. GIS Graduates are welcome to apply!
In this role, you will apply how GIS is used in different industry sectors including government, land and property, emergency services, and insurance.
This will be a Front-line support role where you will be dealing with tickets, some basic training for customers on the software, being involved in consultancies projects and onboarding customers. They are headquartered in Stevenage, with 35 people in the business. However, this role is 100% remote and can be done anywhere in the UK.
Essential Skills:
- Confident communication skills and enjoy working with customers face-to-face and on the phone.
- Self-assured, enjoy working as a team and self-motivated.
- Experience in using and applying Geo technologies, including open-source geo software.
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office software
