Windows System Administrator | Hyper-V, Windows Server, Networks | Life Sciences Lab
Our client, who specialises in software for life science laboratories, is looking for a Windows System Administrator to join their growing organisation. You will support and maintain the company's internal systems and customer cloud environments, and provide desktop support to all business users.
This is a hybrid environment with both Windows Server and AWS public cloud. This will be the perfect opportunity to gain exposure working on a public cloud as well as utilising DevOps tools such as Terraform and Docker containers.
The business consists of over 100 people, and they have locations around the world, however, you will mostly be liaising with staff in the UK as well as their remote sites in the US and Poland.
This is a hybrid role; you will start with 5 days in their London office for the first month then reducing down to 3 days a week.
Essential Skills:
- Windows Server (2012, 2016, 2019 - trialling 2022)
- Hyper-V for virtualisation (100s of VMs)
- Firewalls, routers, and switches, VLANs, DNS, DHCP and VPN
Nice to Have Skills:
- Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL
- Oracle XE
- Routing Subnets (Juniper and Sophos)
- Dell Hardware
- Microsoft Office 365
