IT Manager | Hands-on & People Manager | Entertainment Tech
Our client is currently looking for an experienced and hands-on IT Manager to join their engineering department and lead the IT Team. This would be a great opportunity to manage various, modern cloud-based infrastructure and network technologies, supporting internal operations. This is an ideal role for someone hands-on and looking to grow their managerial skills in a fast-scaling environment.
You will be responsible for line managing within the IT Team, consisting of 2 Infrastructure and 2 Helpdesk Engineers. The team supports 222 remote workers across 3 offices (London, Manchester, and New York) and growing. You will also support the Security Lead in key cyber security initiatives and occasionally be required to participate in various cross-departmental teams for initiatives such as hybrid working or office moves.

Depending on your locality, the role can be based out of Manchester or London.
Experience in these technologies would be highly beneficial:
- Next Generation Firewalling and endpoint security solutions - able to configure a network environment for multi-offices
- Microsoft Server, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory
- Google Workspace / Office365
- Azure Cloud (Virtual Machines, Virtual Networking, Infrastructure as Code) OR AWS
- PowerShell and/or an interest in Automation (our client also uses Bicep as an IaC tool)
Some projects planned for the next 12 months include:
- ISO 27001 Certification (there is a team to support you with this)
- Modernising Infrastructure (moving to Cloud-native)
- Endpoint Management Deployment
- Windows 10 to Windows 11
- Optimising helpdesk experience
Key requirements from the IT Manager:
- Prior experience managing, building, and maintaining internal IT infrastructure technologies - Cloud, Network, and business productivity tooling
- Strong understanding and recent hands-on experience with Networking/Firewalls Essential
- Previous experience in Automation, scripting, and source control
- Experience managing a team of 3 or more, focusing on facilitating team members' career development by providing opportunities
- Comfortable with budgets, forecasting for internal IT operations, and supplier management.
- Be comfortable with network and server infrastructure concepts
- Access Management/IAM
The salary on offer is £60,000 - £75,000 and great benefits, including:
