DevOps Network Engineer | Public Cloud and Kubernetes | FinTech
This a great opportunity for a confident and skilled individual with solid experience in supporting cloud-based networking infrastructure in an international multi-site business.
With the successful completion of an initial migration to Azure, our client is about to embark on the next phase of the enhancement of their IT service estate. The focus would be the modernisation of existing services to become cloud-native and the building of new services using cloud-first principles in a more 'modern' Azure and Cloudflare environment.
We are looking for a 'modern' network engineer with a 'DevOps/Automation' mindset as opposed to a traditional Cisco routing and switching skillset. More specifically, strong experience in Network Automation and IaC tools such as Ansible or Terraform would be a key requirement for the role.

The core responsibilities of this role will be split between assisting the modernisation projects relating to the cloud native network strategy and the role will fall into the Cloud and Platform Services team.
Some of the key skills and experience required include:
- AWS/Azure/GCP Experience (Our client uses Azure but any public cloud experience is OK)
- Kubernetes / AKS / EKS or OpenStack
- Terraform / Infrastructure as Code - Software-defined Networking.
- Scripting using Powershell, Python or similar tools.
- Migrating Checkpoint, F5, Cisco Meraki, and Paolo Alto technologies to Azure Cloud Native Networking
- Network fault analysis, problem diagnosis, Wireshark / PCAP etc
