This is a great opportunity for you to take the reins on all the DevOps responsibilities for an agile Insurance Technology Ecosystem. They are a small team with 7 staff in the UK and 10 in Australia. They are a super friendly and collaborative team!
You will be joining a scale-up that currently has 10,000 requests per day hit their web applications which are all hosted on Azure. They have growth plans to support a multitude of global markets which will see 500k per day... Hence the need for a solid Azure engineer to manage the platform and their growth.
Your role will consist of building and optimising CI/CD GitLab pipelines, managing the Azure environment, and contributing to the platform roadmap. There also may be the responsibility to handle some general IT work too, such as managing domain marketing websites.
Kubernetes isn't currently in place but they'll certainly be the chance to implement it if you think this will be the right solution for the business.
Essential:
- Azure - solid platform experience needed
- Docker
- Deploy GitLab - CI/CD
- Terraform
- They have a little GCP but no experience is required here
- On-call rota has to happen - need someone that can work out of hours but time is always given back and things are very flexible
Desirable:
- SQL Azure

- Typescript

Projects:
- Kubernetes project - the project has been in testing but can be rolled out with your guidance
- A new data warehouse build to run and migrate reports
- Integrating with 3rd party insurer platforms and building mapping layers
- New infra projects building out environments for future customer/market regions - controlling the DNS
